Al Azhar Cairo Islamic School Yogyakarta is a modern Islamic school that fosters education based on Islamic values to prepare the future generation of Quran memorizers. By implementing iPad-Fun Learning and a Trilingual Program, Al Azhar Cairo Yogyakarta Islamic School consistently provides students with profound and engaging learning experiences. Our learning approach is designed using Experiential Learning, which focuses on offering abundant experiences to shape, develop, and strengthen the student profile holistically. We aim to cultivate learners with the following characteristics: faithful and godly character, open-mindedness, independence, critical thinking, inquisitiveness, collaboration, and creativity.

Since 2019, together with our educators, we’ve developed iPad-based learning. Apple technology helps us build an adaptive, creative, collaborative, and inclusive educational community. Al Azhar Cairo Islamic School Yogyakarta embraces iPad-Fun Learning to address the rapidly advancing technological landscape, which is expected to evolve even further in the future. With its advanced, comprehensive, secure, and user-friendly features, the iPad is an excellent choice for students to explore and implement knowledge from various sources.

iPad-based fun learning significantly contributes to developing students’ critical thinking skills. Beyond serving as a supporting tool for routine lessons across all subjects, the iPad plays a crucial role in project-based learning. Each year, students undertake 3 to 4 integrated projects, either individually or collaboratively. Supported by iPads through applications, tools, learning resources, and access to information, students are empowered to develop their knowledge, skills, and attitudes. These integrated projects train students to manage ideas, realize them in tangible projects, and create positive inspiration and impact, both for themselves and their surroundings. 

As future leaders in a global society, we enrich students’ paradigms with a global perspective through our Trilingual Program. By implementing three core languages—Indonesian, English, and Arabic—we encourage students to develop a global outlook and effective communication skills. We believe that critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and self-management skills must be nurtured and developed from an early age.
